Biome ‘bʌɪəʊm/ Noun ECOLOGY. A large naturally occurring community of flora and fauna occupying a major habitat e.g. forest or tundra

Biome Collective are a Dundee based, internationally reaching artist group who have come together to collaborate and explore new frontiers in games, digital art and technology. They create world class interactive and multi- sensory experiences for global audiences with their unique and accessible games, interventions and installations spanning across digital, physical and cultural spaces.

We have been developing ideas with Biome since 2011 and collaborating to make them happen over the last few years. We have an overlapping ethos of exploring ways to communicate to as wide a range of people as possible, tackling big subjects in a fun and educational way. We bring our experience of developing projects in the physical world, combining this with their arts and digital know-how. Merging these takes us all to new places and brings the best of everything together in each installation and visitor experience.

Biome and Kirsty Maguire Architect are all ‘V&A Design Champions’.  And in the words of the design museum, ‘The V&A Dundee Design Champions are inspirational designers creating high-quality work and helping to enhance people’s lives, or champions of the power of design to improve the world.’

 We have worked together as designers for the ‘V&A Schools Design Challenge’, were invited to be part of the Dundee Design Festival 2019 running a collaborative project and currently have several other projects bubbling away under the surface.
